Richard Gowers, Chairman of the BKSA made the announcement to press on April 16th at Watergate Bay Cornwall at the first National Event of the season. On hand were top UK and current champions Denzil Williams, Will Bennett and Dan Sweeney.
Members of the Board of the BKSA were also available to answer questions from the press - Andy Gratwick (Head of Training), Owen Stringer, Jason McCaffery and William Richardson.
This now puts kite sports firmly on the map as legitimate recreational activities which require provision in every area of the country. The BKSA have a complete program for membership, insurance, clubs, training and events to cover all activities.
Easter Club Trip
After the success of the clubs first trip to Westward Ho! last weekend we're certainly planning on more soon. The trip wasnt perfect wind wise but the 14 that came the atmosphere and enjoyment certainly made it a good event. Thanks to Steve for sorting out everything with the planning and bookings. Hopefully we should get some photos up in the gallerys as soon as possible.
Summer 2010
Although the forum has been going strong for a while now we must admit that the main site itself was being neglected. The staff on the site are currently planning a big push for the Summer 2010 to try keep the site upto date with all the latest information, events and club trips.
If anyone has any information that they feel could be useful for the site, or you could help in anyway personally or from a company view please dont hesitate to contact either Steve or Ryan.
Club Clothing
Now that our first batch of club hoodies have been ordered and distributed, we're currently looking into getting some t-shirts / polo shirts done as well. More information available soon via the Club Clothing page.
