British Kite Surfing Association & Bournemouth Boarding

The aim of Bournemouth Boarding is to promote the safe sport of kitesurfing in the area in a professional and approachable way. Since the site started earlier this year, we have gone through MANY changes.

Bournemouth BoardingThe hard work has already started to pay off and on receipt of an email from Richard (Chairman of the British Kitesurfing Association) on the 4th September 2008, we are now a recognised club.

When selecting membership please make sure under the choice you change indervidual membership to Bournemouth Boarding. This will also be printed on your card giving you access to member only discounts. Supporting the website only costs £5 a year, under 45p a month!!

For people who are currently already BKSA members and wish to support Bournemouth Boarding we would advise to wait untill your next renewal.

All club money is secure with a dedicated club account held by 'LloydsTSB'. For extra security there are two committee members which have to sign any outgoing's. As this is money is received direct from BKSA to the club for member benifits and future site PR all costs of the site running, hosting and design is paid for directly by George Buckingham and Ryan Harris.

BKSA Insurance

As with any sport, especially extreme sports, accidents can happen.

The British Kitesurfing Association have come together with a leading insurance company to offer an annual insurance cover for around £30. You can now purchase the insurance through the links on our site which will also support to keep our club and surfing sports open. The full price of Insurance and club membership is now on the BKSA site website, www.kitesurfing.org. The insurance include the following sports:

  • Powerkiting
  • Kite Landboarding
  • Snowkiting
  • KitebuggyingLandboarding Insurance

This insurance is Worldwide in all the above sports (excluding USA & Canada). The insurance itself commences from 1 year from the date joined and covers the following:

  • Recognised by most landowners

BKSA Insurance Notes

1 Personal Accident cover - Death; £10,000 ,Permanent Loss of sight in one or both eyes; £10,000, permanent loss of one or two limbs; £10,000, permanent total disability;£10,000 - Territorial Limits: UK, Northern Ireland and Eire. Maximum age: 65 at policy inception or renewal
2 Cover - Worldwide, excluding USA/Canada or any country operating under USA or Canadian law
3 Events - if it isn´t approved event you will not be covered in the event of an accident.
4 Membership - you must be a resident in the UK for a minimum of 6 months
